I am still me.
A woman, a mother, a modern witch. A life with cavernoma, and a voice I want to use.
Why I’m sharing this now
I’m Emma. I live with a cavernoma in the left insular region of my brain. I experience seizures, pain and numbness, and the uncertainty that comes with symptoms other people cannot always see.
My earlier MRI identified a cavernoma in 2016. I have described a long gap in follow-up since then. Today, I am seeking answers, specialist care and a clearer path forward. This is my account of my experience; medical decisions depend on current assessment.
Still Sacred grew from a need to make space for all of me. I want to share useful information, raise awareness and ask for help with my journey towards specialist assessment and surgery in Germany, if recommended.
My spiritual life belongs here too
I am a modern witch, an ordained priestess and a practising medium following Spiritualists’ National Union Spiritualism. Nature, reflection, compassion and spiritual learning are parts of my life.
My beliefs give me a language for meaning and connection. My neurological symptoms deserve medical care. Both truths have a place here.
You do not have to share my beliefs to stand beside me. You can come for the information, the story, the fundraiser, or simply the reminder that a person is always more than a diagnosis.
